Upon launching Cakewalk Pro Audio v.8.0 an error message appears: "Audio extension DLL cannot be found" with Windows XP.

This error results from having "Digidesign AudioMedia 3" or "Digidesign Session 8" selected as your Audio Hardware in Cakewalk. How to change your audio hardware:1) Go to Tools | Audio Hardware in Cakewalk2) In the Audio Hardware dialog, select "Windows Sound Cards (DirectShow 5.1)"3) Make sure the remainder of Cakewalk's settings are set to the recommended settings for using Cakewalk Pro Audio v. 8.0 and the Digidesign hardware.
