How to install the WaveDriver 5.3.1 for Pro Tools using Windows XP and 2000.
A:
To install Digidesign WaveDriver:1) Install Pro Tools or Pro Tools LE and restart your computer.2) Launch any Pro Tools or Pro Tools LE session to verify that Pro Tools or Pro Tools LE is working correctly. 3) Quit Pro Tools or Pro Tools LE. 4) From the Start menu > Control Panel.5) Double-click Add Hardware.6) Click Next.7) Select "Yes, I have already connected the hardware" and click Next.8) Scroll down and Select "Add a new hardware device" and click Next.9) Select "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)" and click Next. 10) Scroll down and Select "Sound, video and game controllers" and click Next.11) Click Have Disk...12) Click Browse. Navigate to the location of the WaveDriver (either as a download or onPro Tools CD). Double-click on oemsetup file. Click OK.13) Add Hardware Wizard window appears, click Next. Click Next again for installing software.14) Hardware Installation dialog appears. Click "Continue Anyway". Restart. The Digidesign WaveDriver Setting dialog will automatically open.15) Click the Advanced button to open the I/O Setup dialog.
