Q:
When opening sessions created on a Pro Tools|24 Mix (and USD) system with Pro Tools|HD, Sync I/O defaults to Loop Sync. This means that the first thing you see when you open an old session is a clock error.
A:

The "Use DMA if available" option is chosen for both ATA/IDE drives in the system. In Pro Tools 5.3 or 5.31 when a midi track has a negative offsett and the session is set to generate tc mode Pro Tools will jump to 11:25:41:11/12:26:18:24 secs and either stay or go into tapping fingers and quit the session. |
