Latency occurs while playing video games, or other applications, that play through the Digidesign hardware in Windows XP.

If you have the Digidesign WaveDriver installed on your Windows XP machine, you can configure the computer to play its audio through the Digidesign hardware (Digi 001). To prevent latency (delay):Start Menu > Control Panel > System > Hardware Tab > Device Manager > Open "Sound, video and game controllers" > Digidesign Wave Driver > Properties Tab > Open Audio Devices > Digidesign Wave Driver > Settings Button > Set Buffer Size to 128 Samples.
