Q:
In Pro Tools, I am trying to drag an audio region from the audio regions list to a track but it will not let me do this, why?
A:
This can happen if you have your Edit window set to Spot mode and under the Operations menu you have it set Auto Spot Regions. This is used when you are sending VITC timecode and using Machine Control to Auto Spot Regions, but it will not let you manually spot the region in this mode.To allow manually dragging the audio region from the regions bin to an audio track you will need to deselect Auto Spot Regions under the operations menu or take Pro Tools out of spot mode and into a different edit mode.
