In Pro Tools LE 5.3.1 for Windows XP the Input Gain controls are working backwards.
 
A:
If you add Input Gain to an analog input on the Digi 001, Pro Tools actually decreases the Input Gain for that track. The inverse is also true: If you decrease the Input Gain for an analog input on the Digi 001, the Input Gain in increased. In Pro Tools > Setups > Hardware Setup. This is a bug and will be fixed in a future version of Pro Tools. The workaround is to adjust the Input Gains in a backwards manner.
