Q:
what versions/drivers do I need to have to make everything work properly?
A:
Next let’s make sure that you have the right versions of all of the files you will need. ESB relies entirely on Direct Connect for its audio streaming. Direct
Connect is a TDM plugin that comes bundled with Pro Tools and will be located in your System > DAE Folder > Plugins folder. Go into this folder and look for the Direct Connect plugin file. Highlight it and go to File > Get Info > General Information, or !-I for short, to show the information for this file. If you have a Mix system, you want version 5.1.1. If you have HD, it should be 5.3.1. While still in the DAE Plugins folder, take a look to make sure that the ESBTDM file is there also. It will normally look like a plain white sheet of paper. There is only one version of the ESBTDM file for both Mix and HD, so don’t worry about its version number. The next piece of the puzzle is called Digidesign StreamManager. This extension should be located in your System > Extensions folder. Go there and check the information of this file. For Mix you want 5.1.1, and for HD you want 5.3.1r2.
