Q:
Experiencing low-level noise with the 2108
A:
NOT FOR PUBLIC DISPLAY : DO NOT PUBLISH
From Universal Audio: " We have received several reports of a very low-level noise in the 2108. We have discovered the source of the problem and have created a fix for it. The fix is simple to do, requires no special tools and no exposure to high voltages due to the 2108's external power supply. The problem only exists on units with a serial number of 341 or lower, as we have now implemented this fix in production. We are shipping out a parts kit -- two replacement cables -- to all registered users of the 2108 along with a printed set of instructions. Most end-users should have no problem doing this mod themselves, but for those who aren't comfortable doing it, it would be great if you could have them bring in their units and do it for them."
