Q:
How do I record the audio output of MachFive?
A:
Some sequencers, such as Digital Performer 4 ( or later) and Logic 6 (or later), have a freeze function that renders the output of MachFive as an audio file. If your sequencer doesn't have this feature, bus the output of the MachFive track to another audio track, and record the audio output of MachFive onto that track. Here is a step by step procedure for Digital Performer 3, and ProTools 5/6
1. Create a new stereo audio track (not the one where MachFive is used) and name it "Record MachFive" 2. Route the MachFive track to an unused bus (e.g. Bus 1-2) 3. Select Bus 1-2 as the input pair for your "Record MachFive" track. 4. Record-arm the "Record MachFive" tack, and start recording.

Is an Audio Unit version of Reaktor planned for Mac OS X? If so, do you have a rough time when it will be available? I'm downloading from the Reaktor 4 library and when I go to open a new ensemble, I get "Not a valid file" error and the program crashes. The file I downloaded also looks like a blank document, and does not have Reaktor icon like the rest of my library flies. Following the tutorial, I try to insert a 4-pole filter into a Reaktor 4 structure. This repeatable crashes the application. I can only get reaktor 4 to work out of the sound manager ouput of my mac.I want to use it in direct connect mode with pro tools 5.1. The samples I've imported from antoher format sound different than they did on their original sampler. Why? |
