DP4's Input monitoring mode no longer has "Direct Hardware Playthrough" as an option for my PCI324 card based interface (2408mkII, 1224,etc)

Cuemix is not available for 324 card users under OSX. The 324 card was developed years before OSX was released. Being legacy products, the only way to have true support for them with OSX systems is to incorporate them with a
new 424 based core system.
