Q:
Sampletank seems to use a lot of CPU on my system, what can I do about this.
A:
When you load samples some of them automatically have effects turned on. If you had 10 samples then there is a chance that there are 10 effects (or more) currently running. You can turn off effects that you do not use or need. This should help reduce the CPU usage quite a bit. Sampletank can have up to 4 effects per channel so make sure you are not using a lot of effects that you may not need.
