Recently, my Marantz CDR500 has not been finalizing discs or adding CD-text but it does record disc-at-once. What's wrong?

Most likely the media you are using is not good media. Marantz recommends NOT using Maxell or Memorex CDs. Fuji, TDK, and Sony discs work well. If the problem persists with the recommended types of media, the unit may need repair.
