Q:
Absynth will not recognize any of the library sounds failed to open all error 8112
A:
Please make sure to use the latest version of Absynth, available at www.native-instruments.com
- not loading the library is certainly caused by wrong or missing permissions, which are very important under OS X. If the library files were created under OS 9 they will certainly cause issues in this regard. You must duplicate them under OS X so that permissions will be added. Also it might be possible that you are not allowed to read from the location where the files reside. In other words: one of the folders of the directory path does not allow you to read from it. Please check the permissions of all items of the directory path in the info window of each item. Please also check the "details", if group is set to "unknown" correct this. Disk utility application should also be used with OS X once per week and after re-installations. Use this tool to repair volume rights.
