Q:
How can I get my CC1 pedal to act as a volume pedal on my K2661?
A:
The CCpedal input jack, by default, is set to cc#4 "Foot Control" not volume... this is done for the benefit of KB3 mode which makes use of cc#4.
For regular volume usage (cc#7) the pedal needs top be reprogrammed as follows: from program mode 1. Press MIDI 2. Press [XMIT] (soft btn) 3. At the top of this screen is a parameter labeled "CtlSetup", by default it is on #97 ControlSetup. Highlight this field (if not already) and press EDIT 4. Use the [more>] button to find the [CPEDAL] soft button, press it. 5. Change the assignment on screen for CPed1 from "Foot" to "Volume" by typing "7" and ENTER on the numeric keypad. 6. EXIT and SAVE new Control Setup. 7. EXIT back to Program Mode. Now in every mode (except Setup itself which is different) this CPedal1 will act as MIDI Volume #7. See pg. 6-10 in the 2661 Getting Started Guide for details on using the Control Setup.
