Why can't I find the menu item to turn on and off MIDI Program (changes) Send/Receive on my Alesis Micron?

This feature was added to the Micron's OS1.02, therefore you must have the original release of the operating system if you do not have this option. You can check the OS version when you power on the Micron.

You can download the latest OS updates from alesis.com in MIDI file format system-exclusive (SysEx) and play it into your Micron from a MIDI interface from your computer.
