Why can't I control Antares Autotune via MIDI notes on my Windows recording...

Why can't I control Antares Autotune via MIDI notes on my Windows recording application such as Sonar or Cubase?

There is a limitation of DirectX plugins which makes this impossible for realtime control, so this feature is not available. There is a planned future VST version of Autotune which will support MIDI note control.
