Q:
After upgrading to Pro Tools 6.9 or 7.x, when I double click a template file (stationery pad) I'm not promted with the request to make a new session. This worked fine in previous versions.

A:
This is a known issue in newer versions of ProTools. There are two ways to work around this:

1) Launch ProTools and choose 'Open' from the File menu then select the template/stationery file.

2) Drag the template/stationery file and drop it onto the ProTools application icon (or it’s shortcut in the Mac OSX dock).

Both methods will give you the promt to either edit the stationery file or make a new session.
