Are there any license restrictions with regard to using VSL in mp3 ringtones? They wouldn't be exposed samples but just parts mixed in with other synths / lead instruments. The ringtones may be default tones included in the manufacturers hardware.
 
A:
You can sell your music to anybody – also to companies who need ringtones. But you are not allowed to sell the samples.
This means that if a composition of yours is used as a ringtone, that's fine. If you sell, for example, some of VSL's tubular bell
samples, and these samples are used as ringtones, that's not OK.

• I think I'm doing this correctly but want to make sure, as it is lengthy process to install a library this big. On the DVD there are two folders – one for "Instruments" and one for "Samples". I'm unstuffing the contents of each folder seperately. I think I'm supposed to put the "Instrument" contents in the Logic Audio folder for EXS, and then the "Samples" can remain wherever I want them as long as I set the path for EXS. Is this correct?
