Q:
After a reboot, launching Pro Tools LE v6.8.1 with Sonobox in OS 10.4.1, can sometimes take anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds for the Sonobox USB light to come on and for the device to be seen by the computer.
A:
In some cases, a user may need to hot plug the device in order to successfully launch Pro Tools.
This is caused by a DHCP network preference created by Mac OS X that often takes a few moments to load before the Sonobox is able to bind to its own driver. To eliminate this preference, delete "preferences.plist" in Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration Note: If a user resets their network info (or if they use DHCP to connect to the Internet which most DSL and cable modem users do) it is possible for this preference to be refreshed.
