Q:
In pre-Live 4 versions of Live, I was able to store user presets for the Live effects and then access them (to send to friends and associates, for example) in the User Presets folder. I can no longer find this folder- can you please tell me where to find my presets?
A:
The User Preset folder is in a different location in Live 4. You will find it here:
* Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\[Your User Name]\Application Data\Ableton\Live\UserPresets * Mac OS X: Users/[Your User Name]/Library/Application Support/Ableton/UserPresets The path for Live 5 User Presets is: * Windows: C:\My DocumentsAbletonLibraryPresets * MAC OS X: Users/[Your User Name]/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Library/Presets Note: In Live 5, this path can be changed in the Live Preferences/Misc Tab.
