Q:
When I launch my Pro Tools HD 7.2, I keep getting a message that says "missing Diginet.sys," why?
A:
We have seen a few cases where the Diginet.sys file does not load correctly when installing PT HD 7.2 on a PC. The solution we have found is as follows.
1. Uninstall PT HD via the add/remove hardware wizard. 2. Reinstall Pro Tools using the installer disk and when it pops up a message asking the location of the missing Diginet.sys navigate or type the full pathname for the Diginet.sys file e.g. C:\Program Files\Digidesign\DAE\drivers\diginet.sys This will allow the installer to continue and should load the missing file. Pro Tools should lauch fine now once the isntallation finishes.
