Can I use the virtual take capability in 4-track mode?

Yes. Change the recording mode from the default setting (OVERWRITE) to ALWAYS NEW. As in stereo mode, a new file will be created for each recording. The recorded files are saved by project, and you can specify a file for playback in each track. This lets you record for example multiple takes for vocals or guitar solos and then compare them later to select the best take.
