Q:
DAE error -1115 "Unable to communicate with faders" when launching Pro Tools and Digi 002. Dots in scribble strips on Digi 002. Faders are locked - in either mode (Stand Alone or online) or can't move faders. Pro Tools cannot find hardware.
A:
All of these symptoms can possibly be rectified by plugging the 002 into a different outlet - preferably NOT on a power strip.
Other things to try: 1. Check fader firmware - update to most current version if needed. 2. Power down the 002 3. Hold down the ESC+Display+Rec buttons (the small rec button) a) Keep holding down these buttons b) Power 002 on. Keep buttons depressed until "Restoring Defaults..." appears onscreen c) Allow Restoring Defaults... to run through its whole natural cycle. if it completes successfully, 002 will be left in Standby mode.
