Q:
I’m using the Lynx AES16 in Wide Wire mode, recording at 192KHz, but the Digital In Sample Rate reported in the Lynx is 96KHz – is this correct?
A:
This is correct. In Wide Wire mode, the Digital In Clock Rate will be ½ of the requested rate, but the L/R clock (under system clock rates in the Lynx Mixer adapter page) will display the correct rate (i.e. 192 kHz).In AES Wide Wire (aka dual-wire) mode each AES cable carries one mono signal, and adjacent pairs are combined into a single stereo stream at the target sample rate. Consult the documentation for your connected equipment for proper implementation of the dual-wire features of your device.
