When recording on the CF card, you have the choice of three different recording modes: Standard, Long, and WAV. Standard and Long are proprietary recording modes that can give you longer record times, however, a WAV mode recording can be played or manipulatied using software on a computer. To set the record mode to .wav, use the following procedure:

1. Press the STOP button on the CF side of the CD-2.

2. Press MENU.

3. Turn the DATA wheel until you see [RECORDING]CF REC MODE and then press the ENTER.

4. Use the DATA wheel to select CF Rec Mode: WAV.

5. Press the EXIT button twice to return to the CF input level screen.
