When duplicating disks, you need to have about 8 to 10 percent free space to make room for the new table of contents, lead-in, and lead-out. If disks are full to capcity, then there is not enough space for these items, even if there is enough space for the content. For example, on an 80-minute CD, it is best to have a maximum of 74 minutes of content.
