I tried to update the H2 to version 1.20 to support Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) but I cannot get my Mac to see it with usb connected.

This quandry can be solved by using a SD card reader ( USB Card reader) hooked up to your Mac.
Simply pull the SD card out of your H2 (AFTER TURNING POWER OFF) and put the SD card into the Mac, then follow the procedure founr here:
