Q:
Cakewalk VST adapter crashes or gives errors when scanning KORE.
A:
Most likely, there is a Creative Labs audio card installed in the system. It is best to temporarily uninstall this card, and then reinstall it after the VST scan completes.
Alternatively, you can temporarily move any file beginning in "CTPlay" to a different directory. Pay attention to which file is moved where, as you will need to replace them (to their original locations) after the VST scan completes. Also, do the same for "albumsvr.dll." You can perform a simple Windows search to find where these files are located. (Thanks to Dean Kraus.)
