Can Tracktion change patches (via MIDI) on my external synth/sampler module/keyboard?

Yes. From the Edit page, highlight the MIDI input icon to the left of your MIDI track.
Then go to the bottom of the screen and click Set Program. This will bring up the available MIDI program numbers. These correspond to patches on your synthesizer. For example, by selecting program number 17 - patch number 17 on your synthesizer will be selected. Just remember to set to your synth to allow program changes.
