Q:
File formats which Sibelius imports
A:
Sibelius 5 can import files from:
* Finale, Allegro & PrintMusic: For Finale 98/2000 files, Sibelius can directly open .mus files; For Finale 2001 or later, Sibelius can only open .etf files. For Finale 2004 or later, we recommend that you export a MusicXML file from Finale and import that into Sibelius. * MusicXML: supported by a number of notation and scanning programs, including Finale and Sharpeye * SCORE * Sibelius 6 and Sibelius 7 for Acorn: version 3.01 or higher of Sibelius 7, Sibelius 7 Student, Sibelius 6 and Junior Sibelius * Standard MIDI files: type 0 and 1. * PhotoScore .opt * ASCII tablature files
