Q:
How do you create a user arpeggio on a Motif?
A:
1. Go into song mode like you're going to record a song.
2. Pick an instrument that you'd like to turn into a user arp. (It can be any instrument, because you can change them when you apply the arp) 3. Record a track with the type of pattern you want for the user arp to be. It only needs to be a short pattern (like the arps already in there) 4. When you've finished: A. Press the job button B. Press F5 track button and scroll down the list until you see put phrase to arp push enter C. Cursor over to where it has the measures on the right and put how many measures in on the track you just recorded (track 1) that you want to be the arp, say measure 1 - measure 4 (don't check fixed note, otherwise it won't follow chord changes) D. It should default to user 001 at the bottom press enter Now go into voice mode and try it under where you apply the arp type look for user one and there it is!
