Q:
Audio click or pop when starting or stopping playback in Pro Tools.
A:
- DC offset in Audio Interface. - DC Offset recorded into audio (apply Fade In/Out to regions, or use the DC Offset Removal AudioSuite Plug-In in PT 4.0).- More than 1 DigiSystem INIT in System Folder. Recalibrate Inputs or toggle the Sample Rate (in Hardware Setup) to recalibrate the A/D converters to get rid of DC that has built up. This should be done BEFORE recording because if DC is present when files are recorded it is written into the file.
