Q:
Audio Interface will not switch to Slave mode when an SSD or VSD is connected.
A:
- Verify that the BNC cable is connected from the SSD/VSD Slave Clock Out to the Audio Interface Slave Clock In.- Verify that the BNC cable is the one supplied by Digidesign (non-digi cables have produced unreliable results).

Audio plays at the wrong pitch when previewing in a Sound Designer II Plug-In like DINR. Audio starts together (starting at any location) but drifts out of sync. Audio takes more than a few seconds to start playing when unmuting a track during playback (running Pro Tools on a SysAxe). Audio that is spotted to VITC (with a paused VTR) is off by 2 frames when using a SMPTE Slave Driver (SSD). Audio transferred digitally into the Mac plays back brighter in Sound Designer II than on DAT. (emphasis) |
