Q:
When attempting to open an OMFI file, OMF Tool quits automaticaly without prompting any error message.
A:
1. If the OMFI file is too large for the amount of memory assigned to OMF, the application will quit. 2. If OMF Tool is told to convert a MC sequence that exported as Compositions Only, and there is no 5.x or 6.x folder on any of the external drives, the application may quit automatically. (The 5.x and 6.x folders are where Media Composer stores all the video and audio files used. These folders exist on any drive attached to Avid Atto card). - Beta versions 1.1b1 and 1.1b2 did not prompt any error messages when closing.- Beta version 1.1b3 and the released version of 1.1 will prompt an error message stating there was not enough memory to convert the OMFI file.
