Q:
How do I configure my DTP (Digital Time Piece) with OMS?
A:
Connect the DTP to the GeeThree Stealth port. Connect the slave clock OUT of the DTP to the slave clock IN of your audio interface and set the Timebase LED on the front of the DTP to "slave clock 256x."Run the OMS 2.3.8 installer and restart. Next, run the FreeMidi 1.4x installer (this puts the necessary MOTU files (4) in the OMS folder in the System folder) and restart. Launch the FreeMidi application in the first alert box click "use OMS." Your FreeMidi configuration will now mirror the OMS studio setup. Launch OMS Setup. select the modem port and click "search."It will recognize the DTP as a standard interface. Next, select "create Device"from the studio pull-down and select "Mark of the Unicorn" from the Manufacturer Pop-up and Digital Time Piece from the model pop-up menus (this will not be an option if you have installed FreeMidi first) and connect it to the standard interface icon. Save the Studio Setup and quit OMS. DTP is now configured.
