Pro Audio Support

Q:
OMS Virtual Nodes will not show up automatically or "reset" themselves in Logic Audio. This mainly affects users of Bruno, Reso and Virus TDM plug-ins.

A:
Steps required for setting up Virus with Logic 4.5* Go to Options/Settings/MIDI Interface Communication and uncheck (!) the Use OMS if available option. Instead, check the one below called Use OMS in addition to the built-in driver. This ensures that Logic users can still run their environment and Unitor 8 with AMT if they want to. * Open the Environment window and create a new instrument. Name it "Virus 1a". Make sure that the info section on the left side shows "OMS unassigned" for this instrument (we'll assign the output later). Create another instrument and name this "Virus 1b". Go on until you think you've got enough Virus instruments. Do not forget Virus 2, 3, 4, etc instances!Note that you have to do this only once because you can export and import environments into other songs. * Instantiate a Virus 1 plug-in, say this one's Virus 1a. In the Arrange window, set the MIDI track's output to "Virus 1a".* Go to the instrument information area on the left side. Click on the area where it says "OMS unassigned", you'll get a popup menu with all available choices, including the "real" OMS node for Virus 1a. * Set to Virus 1a.* Repeat the last three steps for additional Virus instances.
