I get clicks and pops recording from ADAT into Pro Tools LE, and/or Pro Tools LE posts an error that "the incoming sample rate does not match that of Pro Tools" - and my input and sync in Pro Tools LE are both set to optical.

The ADATs are in Digital Input mode and both the ADAT and Pro Tools LE are trying to clock off each other. Deselect Digital Input mode on the ADAT.
