"Cannot perform the operation because the selected Audio Suite TC/E plug-in could not be instantiated" error message.
 
A:
If the Trimmer Tool is in Time Trimmer Mode in a Pro Tools 5.1 session and that session is opened in Pro Tools LE, the trim tool remains in Time Trimmer Mode. When you try to trim a file in Pro Tools LE, then the error message appears. The work around is to open the session back up in Pro Tools and set the trim tool to standard or trim scrub mode.
