Pro Tools 5.1U does not see a Unity workspace as a valid audio/video drive.

In order for Pro Tools to recognize Unity workspaces as valid audio/video drives the UnityAsyncStreamsLib needs to be in the DAE folder. If this library is not present Pro Tools will not work with Unity. The Avid Unity Client installer must be ran AFTER Pro Tools 5.1U is installed.
