"An assertion occurred sys_volume Mac OS.cpp line 343" when launching a session in Pro Tools 5.1.
 
A:
This can happen if the disk allocation for the session is no longer valid (i.e. the drive is no longer connected / folder has been deleted etc). Pro Tools should ask if you want to verify the Disk Allocation before posting this error, and this needs to be set for each track to a valid drive that is currently mounted.
