Using Machine Control to record out to a video decks audio tracks (in this case a DVW 500), Pro Tools will sit with "Waiting for Sync" in the bottom of the Edit window. The transport should be set to Machine, and the video decks audio tracks record enabled.
 
A:
Unchecking "Machine Follows Edit Insertion/Scrub" from Setup>Preferences>Operation, will allow this process to work.
