A version of this beta firmware is also included with Pro Tools 5.3 for Pro Tools|HD.With ProControl, the updated personality file improves the performance of the track pad as well as correcting an issue with the pushbutton switches and rotary encoders. With the update installed, the track pad operates more smoothly and with greater resolution. With both ProControl and Edit Pack, some users have previously reported having problems with bouncing or "double-pressed" keys where it will seem like the control surface missed a mute key press, for example, as well as having data "jumps" on the encoders where a small movement of the knob occasionally causes a large jump in value, sometimes in the wrong direction. The update should correct both of these problems.
