Q:
"COnyx Waves DSP: read exec wait for host status bit set failed"
A:
Here is information provided by Waves Tech Support:The COnyx error was almost always caused by one of two things. One of those is timing issues, if a piece of outboard gear is set to a different sample rate than the session, or if the session sampling rate was changed after the plug-ins were put in the session. The other possible culprit would be the DSP manager having loaded a plug-in on a A chip that is then needed by a Waves plug-in ( C4, SuperTap, UltraPitch, Renaissance Reverb, L2 ), The only way around this is if you move all the tracks that are using a Waves plug-in that requires the A chip as far to the right of the Mix window as possible. This will allow the plug-ins needing the A chip to be able to load first. If the error occurs when you try to place a plug-in on a track thenyou have more than likely filled all the slots on the A chips (each card has two A chips and all the plug-ins I listed take the whole chip). If you need to open a session that has this error and you know it has one of the above listed plug-ins, you can remove the plug-in from the Waves Plug-Ins folder, and re-launch the session. As Pro Tools loads it will say that this plug-in cannot be placed in the session because it is missing, OK thru this. Save the session without the plug-in and then close Pro Tools and replace the plug-in. You can then reopen the session.
