If you are experiencing problems with DP dropping out of record mode when a QuickTime movie is engaged, choppy screen redraw or other weirdness, confirm that the movie file you have open in DP is indeed a QuickTime movie.

QuickTime has the ability to open and translate other types of video files such as MoviePlayer and so on. DP requires that the files be true QuickTime movies. You can confirm the file format by single clicking on the movie file itself to highlight it, and then Command Key - I for "Get Info". Look for "Quick Time Player" or "Quick Time " under the "Type" heading. If you see otherwise, the file will most likely cause problems within DP.

It is possible that this file was converted from another program such as Flash incorrectly. You will need to convert the video file to a true QuickTime format.
