1.Insert the iLok into an available USB port on your computer.

2. Locate and launch the 'Authorizer' application found in the 'Authorize' folder in the Plug-In package on the CDROM. It may also be found on the root drive after basic installation. This applet is to authorize one specific Plug-in at a time. Launch it, and follow the on-screen instructions until you are prompted to insert the License Card into the iLok.

3.Separate the License Card (the removable metal and plastic tab) from the larger protective card by pulling the cutout up and out with your thumb. Do not force your finger downward.

4. To insert the License Card into the iLok, orient the iLok’s USB end to the left, and the loop end to the upper right. Insert the metal chip end of the License Card tab (the License Card tab should have the metal chip side facing you, up, not down) You will be able to visually verify that the License Card makes contact with the iLok’s metal card reader.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the authorization process. After authorizing remove the License Card and snap it back into the card holder for safekeeping.Some plugin manufactures supply two authorizations on each iLok license card : one is the primary authorization and the other is a backup.
