Why is the USB mode function greyed out so I cannot select it on my Roland V-Synth? I cannot get to use the USB storage mode.
A:
This means you need to change the USB mode from MIDI to Storage. This basically changes the USB connection from being a MIDI interface to a USB storage drive. Here's how:
Go to System - MIDI/USB - USB Setup, and change from MIDI to Storage, hit OK - Accept - Write/Execute. You are now in USB Storage mode. Do the same procedure to switch back to USB MIDI mode.
