On your computer: -Click "Start" -Click on "Control Panel" -Open up "Network Connections" -Right click on "Local Area Connection" for the Ethernet port and choose"Properties" -Make sure that "Internet Protocol TCP/IP" is there and checked, if not, click the "Install" button, and install this protocol. -Double-click on "Internet Protocol TCP/IP" - Choose "Use the following IP address" Ensure your computers settings are: IP Address - 192.168.001.101 Subnet - 255.255.255.0 Gateway - 192.168.001.101 The only other thing is to ensure the user name and password are "anonymous" in your FTP program, unless you have previously changed them in the HD24. -Now, put the HD24 into FTP Server Mode. Then, open your FTP program, type in the HD24's IP address(192.168.1.100), ensure the user name and password are "anonymous", and you're connected.
