How do I set-up the starting parameters of the Pa1X

How do I set-up the starting parameters of the Pa1X - i.e., which Sounds are selected, and how they are configured, when turning the instrument on?

Set the desired parameters, then save them in Performance 1-1 (page menu > Write Performance). Performance 1-1 will be automatically selected when turning the instrument on.
