I'm using Cubase and Kompakt and I see the (East West) plug-in, but I can't load it; the instrument list still shows 'no instrument.'

If you have any software installed by Virsyn, uninstall it. This software interferes with certain EW VST plugins and prevents them from 'plugging in.'
