Q:
What does the "Invalid Code Error 02" or "01" mean on the display of the POD XT?
A:
The "Error Code 02" or "01" means that there is a problem with the software on the unit.
There are a couple of things you can try. First, power up the unit while holding the "Save" and "Edit" buttons. When the unit is powered up, press the "Tuner" button. Shut of the unit and turn it back on. If that doesn't work, power the unit up while holding the far left button under the display. This will start the PodXt in "Safe Mode". The display may still show the error code but, it is in safe mode. From this point, try reinstalling the software using LINE 6 MONKEY: LINE6 SOFTWARE DOWNLOADS This program will allow you to update your product via USB. Make sure that you update all of the items that have "caution" icons next to them (flash memory, firmware, drivers, etc.). Once those items are updated, they will turn into green check marks.
